Also known as leuconeura, the green prayer plant is characterised by soft ovate leaves lined with spots that darken with maturity. 

As a naturally occurring ground cover plant, the green maranta will thrive in medium filtered light. If the colour of the leaves begin to appear washed out, then it may be exposed to too much light. Do not let them go dry - keep the soil moist but not drenched and keep general humidity levels up. Avoid drying environments like aircon.
