Commonly known as 'micans', the philodendron hederaceum velvet features a heart-shaped leaf, similar to the philodendron cordatum, but with a velvety texture. 

To promote the dark, velvety appearance of the leaves, keep micans in indirect, lower, light. Allow the soil to at least half dry out between waterings and water even less during the winter months. While this is a naturally trailing plant, cutting the stems back will encourage fuller growth and keep the leaves looking lush and velvety.
